Physiotherapy Bank - Paediatric Respiratory (Bank)
Roles: Specialist Physiotherapist
Location: The Portland Hospital at Apply Great Portland Street, London W1W 5AH
Contract type : Bank (Weekend and after hours on calls)
Pay: Bank hourly rate between £26.51ph - £32.40ph dependent upon shift & role type

The Portland Hospital is looking for Bank staff to be available for weekend and after hours on call shifts with their acute care team, responsible for providing high quality physiotherapy for patients with respiratory & cardiac conditions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To undertake a comprehensive physiotherapy assessment of the individual patient, gaining relevant information from subjective and objective clinical examination, applying clinical reasoning skills to identify physiotherapy amenable impairments and disabilities
- To formulate and deliver an individual treatment programme based on specialist knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options using clinical skills
- To deliver a variety of physiotherapy interventions to resolve identified problems, involving, educating and empowering patients and their families where appropriate
- To re-evaluate and re-assess patient progress and update treatment programmes as required
- To advocate for physiotherapy, when involvement is indicated or not appropriate, and have an understanding of medical, nursing and allied health interventions to provide holistic clinical care
- To work autonomously and also in conjunction with the wider medical, nursing and allied health teams to deliver an exceptional patient experience
- To be responsible for prioritisation of clinical caseload
- To maintain accurate up-to-date patient records which comply with departmental and CSP standards
What you'll bring :
- Graduate Diploma or BSc in Physiotherapy
- Registration with HCPC
- Experience and knowledge within paediatric physiotherapy in a respiratory and cardiac caseload
- Experience of paediatric on-call and weekend working in PICU
- Experience with a paediatric orthopaedic caseload is desirable
