Job Description:

Are you an experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist looking for an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact? What you will do:

- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for children and young people with various communication needs.

- Deliver tailored therapy interventions to enhance communication, interaction, and language development.

- Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, psychologists, and care staff to ensure a seamless, holistic approach.

- Develop and promote communication-friendly strategies and environments within the setting.

- Provide training, advice, and support to families, carers, and other professionals involved in the care of the young individuals.

- Monitor and review therapy plans regularly, adapting interventions to meet changing needs.

- Maintain thorough clinical documentation and reports in line with professional standards.

- Participate in service development initiatives and engage actively in team meetings and supervision sessions.

Requirements:

- HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist.

- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent recognised qualification.

- Proven experience working with children and young people aged 7-19 in a paediatric setting.

- Strong understanding of various speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

- A commitment to person-centred care within a therapeutic and educational framework.

Desirable:

- Experience in integrated education or residential settings.

- Familiarity with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) tools and techniques.
