Locum Job Description: Band 6 Pharmacy Technician - Rochester, UK - £23.52 Hourly - Ongoing - Full Time

What you will do:

* Provide expert technical support to the pharmacy team and healthcare professionals.

* Dispense and prepare medications in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.

* Conduct medicines reconciliation and supply reviews to optimise patient treatment plans.

* Support the implementation of medicines management initiatives and cost-effective prescribing.

* Supervise and mentor junior pharmacy staff, including Band 4 and 5 technicians.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient safety and medication adherence.

* Ensure compliance with NHS and Trust policies, including infection control and governance procedures.

* Participate in audits and contribute to service improvement projects.

Requirements:

* Qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.

* Registration: General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registered.

* Experience: Previous experience as a pharmacy technician, ideally within an NHS or hospital setting.

* Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

* Knowledge: Familiarity with medicines optimisation and NHS policies.
