Job Description

Role: Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner
Location: The Lister Hospital
Hours: Permanent. Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Saturday, 3 Long days, 7:30am-9:00pm
Salary: Competitive + Shift Allowances + Generous Golden Hello

We are looking for a Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner to join our Operating Theatre department at The Lister Hospital. The Lister Hospital has been offering world-class healthcare and treatment in the heart of Chelsea in London for over 30 years and has received an 'Outstanding' rating from the CQC. We have 4 Theatres, specialising in Orthopaedics, Spinal, Gynaecology, IVF, Neurology, ENT, Thoracic.

What will you do:

  • Working as part of a team ensuring a high standard of nursing care and safety of patients within the theatre department. Whilst utilising evidence based practice.
  • Supporting the Theatre Team and Mentoring Junior members of staff
  • Setting up Theatres / organising theatre lists
  • Prepare patients for clinical/ operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.
  • Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives
  • Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults reported to the Theatre Co-ordinator immediate

What you will bring:
  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
  • Current HCPC or NMC Registration / NMC pin
  • Experienced Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner
  • Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and confident to support the theatre team
  • Able to work as part of a team
