Job Description

About The Role
Do you need the freedom of more flexible hours? Perhaps you just relish a new challenge?

This is the perfect opportunity to use and develop all your skills and expertise as a General Practitioner, providing diagnosis, treatment, advice and referrals to other healthcare resources, via primary care centres. You will also use our electronic prescribing system to effectively manage the patient.

Based in our South West London Out Of Hours (OOH) services, you'll be working autonomously within your sphere of competency in a multi-skilled team that includes advanced nurse practitioners, registered nurses, UCPs, mental health and dental nurses, prescribing pharmacists and pharmacy advisors.

We are ideally looking for you to complete face to face or home visiting sessions.

Our Primary Care Centres (PCCs) are located in Richmond, Kingston and Roehampton, our home visiting sessions are done from our office in Putney.

What you'll be doing

  • To represent Practice Plus Group in a professional manner when in contact with the general public and other professionals.
  • To work as a Primary Care Centre GP as required by service demands during a session, or to cover as a Practice Plus Group Doctor on the GP rota
  • To be responsible for prioritisation and timeliness of all consultations.
  • To work with the management team, together with other members of staff, to maximise effective and efficient delivery of care to patients.
  • To promote close teamwork between colleagues and to continually strive to improve the service.
  • To be available for meetings and appraisals from time to time as required.
  • To regularly update personal clinical skills and knowledge.
  • To work within the prescribing formulary taking account of the minimum recommended length of prescribed treatment.
What we'll look for in you
What you will need:

• GMC registration certificate and inclusion on the GP Performers List with a valid CCT.
• Previous OOH experience or relevant autonomous shifts during training.
• Experience to confidently manage acute and chronic presentations for both adult and paediatric patients, with a proven ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care.
• Excellent listening and communication skills, with experience of urgent care assessment and good IT/keyboard skills.
• Up to date with all your compliancy documentations including mandatory training.
