What you will do:
Provide Occupational Therapy for team clients, ensuring comprehensive care with a maximum one-day duty cover for the team every two weeks.
Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence-based and client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
Complete standardised assessments using the Model of Human Occupation and other frameworks.
Offer manualised interventions, both group and individual, such as GLOW and IPEL, to support service step-down and preparation for client discharge.
Conduct Sensory Profiling and interventions for clients with sensory challenges, and provide advice to the team to promote access and reasonable adjustments.
Participate in planning, development, and evaluation of OT services, leading defined projects.
Engage in the OT referrals process, identify and prioritise the need for OT specific interventions.
Provide leadership and clinical supervision to junior staff and Recovery Support Workers.
Promote Recovery and Social Inclusion, collaborate with the Involvement Team to enhance service-user engagement and co-production.
Work with the Employment Specialist to advance vocational pathways.
Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Trust OT Service.
Facilitate seamless working from admission to discharge following the Adult Services Recovery Care pathway principles.
Advocate for the impact of occupational therapy on managing daily occupation challenges.
Serve as the 'Disability Champion', leading the multi-disciplinary team in Disability Equality matters.
