We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement Lead to join our team at HMP Bure , a category C men's Prison located in Norwich

Hours

The site currently offers Monday - Friday; core office hours

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £ 28,690 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Patient Engagement Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • As the Patient Engagement Lead, you'll be responsible for the improvement and stability of patient engagement activities and patient satisfaction through effective service user engagement and peer led forums, the planning and delivery of projects/programmes in line with patients' needs and priorities, involving patients (where possible) in project and training delivery.
  • You'll ensure statutory and organisational requirements are met, that patient engagement activities are conducted frequently across all sites with timely evaluations and feedback/recommendations are communicated with patients, staff and external partners where necessary. Work collaboratively with senior management to assist in establishing patient reviews of new innovations for business
  • develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

  • NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Experience of working as a peer representative in a criminal justice setting (including health, housing, substance use). You will be required to have face to face engagement with patients as well as group facilitation/note taking when necessary.
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy
  • Ability to work within a busy environment
