What you will do:
* Collaborate closely with the Operational Manager and Head BMS, ensuring the day-to-day routine technical and scientific operations of the Haematology Department run smoothly.
* Participate in the delivery of a high-quality diagnostic service through specialist technical and scientific operations.
* Contribute to shaping the strategic development of the department in consultation with key department leaders.
* Supervise, train, and develop subordinate staff, including Biomedical Scientists, trainee BMS, students, and new team members, ensuring technical proficiency and competence required for HCPC registration.
* Ensure that the haematology team consistently meets the necessary competencies for professional excellence.
We are seeking a qualified individual who holds HCPC registration and possesses excellent technical and professional expertise. A car driver is essential, as the role could involve work across multiple sites.
