We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our dynamic pharmacy team in Hatfield, UK. This permanent role offers an attractive annual salary of £48,000. What you will do:
- Deliver exceptional medicine management services to all customers by supporting the pharmacy department.
- Provide pharmaceutical expertise and input to patient care in One Hatfield Hospital.
- Facilitate the daily running of the pharmacy department to ensure a safe and effective medicines management service for patients, staff, consultants, and customers.
- Engage in daily multidisciplinary ward rounds, providing clinical input regarding medicines.
- Supervise the procurement, preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medicines within the hospital.
- Influence prescribing practices and medicines management, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional frameworks.
- Ensure accurate and timely charging and develop departmental standard operating procedures.
- Support the Chief Pharmacist in implementing national guidance, such as NICE guidance, and participate in audit activities to enhance service quality.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Pharmacy and registration as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Declare any existing or pending Fitness to Practice issues upon application.
- A Postgraduate Diploma relevant to hospital pharmacy practice is desirable but not essential.
- Post-registration experience of 2 to 3 years in a clinical pharmacy setting, with the ability to transfer clinical skills into an acute setting.
- Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) and experience in acute NHS or private healthcare settings are desirable.
