Specialist Inpatient Physiotherapist | Private Hospital | Permanent | Full-time | Bristol | Competitive pay plus fantastic benefits
Spire Bristol Hospital are looking for an experienced Specialist Inpatient Physiotherapist to join the Physio team on a full-time permanent basis. You will provide highly skilled and specialised assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients within the in-patient/out-patient service.
Job Purpose
To provide highly skilled and specialised assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients within the in-patient service across a 5 day working rota, with varying shift patterns, plus weekend working.
Take lead role in physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patient caseload.
To ensure the team delivers effective physiotherapy by providing appropriate day to day managerial support, alongside educational and development expertise.
Duties and responsibilities

2. Develop practice in addressing patient's health and wellbeing needs.
3. Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
4. Develop knowledge and practice in own area of work.
5. Develops a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security.
6. Develop and improve services.
7. Improve quality.
8. Enable people to exercise their rights and promote their equality and diversity.
9. Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices.
10. Apply technology formeasurement, monitoring and treatment of patients.
11. Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
12. Participate in the On-Call Physiotherapy service for Respiratory patient requirements as required.
Who we're looking for:
- Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy)
- Evidence of post-graduate learning
- Must have recent respiratory experience and be on-call competent
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
- Post graduate experience in relevant specialism e.g. respiratory physiotherapy
- Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied caseloads
- Experience of working in partnership with consultants and participating in creating innovative solutions for new services
- Competence across a range of physiotherapy, management and leadership skills supported by skilled professional and specialist knowledge in the chosen physiotherapy specialism.
- Trained on MS Office and other relevant packages
- Demonstrate principles of accountable practice
- English language to IELTS 7.0
- Willing to work flexible patterns e.g. evenings/weekend/on call as required
- Empathy for principles and importance of EO and dignity at work
Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5hrs per week, working across a 7 day service. Working shifts between the hours of 8am-8pm. Will be working 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks
