To develop, manage and support the timely and effective delivery of behavioural insight projects as part of BZB Maximus' contract in a way that will increase access, referral and engagement with BZB Maximus programmes and other interventions.

To empower communities facing high deprivation and obesity rates create and resource their own weight management programmes through insight, partnership and co-production with local organisations.
• Designing and delivering behavioural insights projects that contribute to community engagement work which furthers the delivery of contract objectives: especially in relation to the creation of co-production processes, and supports the referral to, and the delivery of, programmes.
• Creating and updating community engagement and partnership strategies that furthers the delivery of contract objectives, especially in relation to the creation of co-production processes.
• Creating and contributing to the delivery of co-production workshops that results in bespoke-designed weight management programmes with members from local/grassroots organisations in deprived areas.
• Reporting on the effectiveness of co-production and insights work to Commissioners in a way that aligns with the delivery of their public health strategy
• Analysis and sharing of co-production and behavioural insights that inform the development and delivery of future evidence-based programmes and the behavioural rationale for future service design.
• Writing insights reports as agreed and disseminating findings
• Contribute as required to meeting the contract KPIs

Key Functions and Role Requirements:
• Identifying interested communities and their leaders in the region, based on criteria set with the Commissioner concerning location and types of group, willing to accept the challenge of creating a bespoke co-production workshops and recruiting participants to take part in the designed programme
• Conduct interviews, focus groups and other forms of engaging professionals and public
• Creation and implementation of evaluation methodologies for each programme
• Use of qualitative and quantitative methods and analytical skills to help interpret results and iterate services.
• Ensure learning from insights and co-production is shared in a timely and appropriate way across Maximus and other relevant organisations
• Work with the Service Manager to ensure the team has a robust partnership engagement strategy and relationship with local professionals, organisations, the public and commissioners.
• Contribute to staff development and learning through any Behavioural Science forums.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
• Degree in Behavioural and/or Social Science (or related subject)
• Experience and/or understanding of the co-production philosophy and approaches
• Understanding of intervention evaluation methodologies
• Understanding of programme development theories and methodology
• Experience of applying a test-and-learn approach in varied situations
• Experience of delivering focus groups and conducting interviews
• Experience of the day-to-day management aspects of setting up and running groups.
• Experience of qualitative data analysis and report writing.
Desirable
• Experience of working in a behavioural insights role.
• Advanced Behavioural Science degree.
• Experience of the health and well-being sector.
• Experience of working in multi-cultural communities.
