The salary for this permanent Rotational Clinical Pharmacist job is £35,392 - £42,618 per annum.

Main Duties:

* Supervision in Dispensary : Act as the supervising pharmacist in the dispensary, conducting clinical checks of prescriptions to ensure legality, accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with policies.

* Prescription Prioritisation and Final Checks : Ensure prescriptions are clinically checked in the appropriate order of priority, and perform final checks on dispensed medications when required.

* Extemporaneous and Aseptic Preparation : Check formulae, worksheets, and final products for extemporaneous aseptic preparations, such as cytotoxics and parenteral nutrition, and ensure accuracy in non-aseptic preparation.

* Responding to Queries : Address medicines information queries and provide clear and accurate advice to patients and carers to improve adherence to medication regimens.

* Dispensing and Stock Management : Dispense prescriptions, supply stock medicines, and controlled drugs as needed, handling payments for prescriptions

* Compliance with Safety Legislation : Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and other relevant legislation for the safe and secure handling of medicines, and provide coverage for pharmacists at other sites when required.

Requirements of the Rotational Clinical Pharmacist:

* Degree in Pharmacy

* Completion of 1-year Pre-registration training

* Registered member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

* Clinical Pharmacy experience within a hospital setting

* Experience in Medicines Information
